As the waves above gently sway the kelp forests below, schools of small fish delight in the caresses. The smoothness of both light and current are peaceful and hypnotic as they move the tiny bodies back and forth. Moments like these, like the twilight of a beautiful summer day, or the sweet rays of morning light as it creeps over the treetops, capture a feeling of magic. I can feel this magic when I paint such scenes. This piece really came alive with the additions of the sunlight beams. The transluscence of the water and the glow of the light off the backs of the fish and kelp just made my heart sing. I hope it brings you the same peace and serenity....that of a quiet moment.
