Gentle and sweet they announce the beginning of a new season. Every spring as the last of the snow melts away and it is just warm enough to walk out in my dressing gown in the morning with my cup of fresh pressed coffee in hand I scan the ground for these wee babies. It's such a delight to see their tiny heads breaking first in green and then in luxurious velvety purple. Drops of chilly dew rolls softly down as they begin to grow. Each day I check on then until from my window one morning I see the grass beneath the trees carpetted in their wonderful colour! The joys of spring bring back memories of crisp morning air, soft warm sunshine, and patches of delightful crocuses!!!! Oh spring you bring such joy!
